Project summary

 As part of the Economic Development and Innovation Operational Programme, OS Pelso Kft. was awarded a conditionally non-refundable grant of HUF 67 million from the European Regional Development Fund for the implementation of project ID GINOP-1.2.16-22-2023-01297.

The project involves the development of the composting facility located in Balatonlelle, Somogy County. As a result of the investment, the site's processing capacity will increase by approximately 66%. The compost produced at the facility is sold to domestic agricultural producers.

OS Pelso Ltd.'s range of compost and soil enhancement products can be used both in conventional arable farming and in regenerative agricultural practices. In addition, the products are also widely used by horticulturists, ornamental plant growers, and fruit producers. The market demand for organic-based soil fertility-enhancing materials is continuously increasing, as these products offer numerous advantages over chemical fertilizers.

The primary objective of the development is to meet the growing demand for product quantity and to further improve compost quality.

The project includes equipment acquisition, infrastructure investment, consultancy, and training services. Furthermore, to meet the plant's energy needs, the project also involves the installation of a solar panel system.

OS Pelso Ltd. has been awarded a conditional non-refundable grant of HUF 66.99 million under the Economic Development and Innovation Operational Program (Project ID: GINOP-1.2.16-22-2023-01297), co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. The project involved the development of the composting facility located in Balatonlelle, Somogy County, resulting in an approximate 66% increase in the site's capacity. The compost produced here is marketed to domestic agricultural producers.

Founded in 2000, OS Pelso Ltd. has been producing various nutrient-rich compost and soil amendment products at its Balatonlelle site using special, innovative methods and utilizing green waste and sewage sludge. The company, continuously improving its products and production processes, currently operates one of Hungary's largest compost production capacities, around 13,000 tons per year.

OS Pelso Ltd.'s range of compost and soil amendment products is suitable for both conventional arable farming and regenerative agricultural practices. Moreover, the products are also widely used by horticulturists, ornamental plant growers, and fruit producers. The demand for organic-based soil fertility enhancers continues to grow in the market, as these products offer many advantages compared to chemical fertilizers. The development aims to meet the increasing demand and further improve compost quality.

The project included equipment procurement, infrastructure investment, consultancy, and training services. Additionally, the installation of a solar panel system was carried out to meet the energy needs of the facility as part of the project.
