New Development Grants at OS Pelso Kft.

In 2025, OS Pelso Kft. received positive approval for two significant development grant decisions. 

1. KAP Strategic Plan – Comprehensive Development of Processing Plants Based on the approval of the Hungarian State Treasury, our company has been awarded a grant of HUF 690.4 million for the development of the composting and manure processing plant located in Nagykáta. Within the framework of the project, several key technological and infrastructural investments will be implemented, including a modern pyrolysis unit, a compost turner machine, a manure dryer, and related site developments. 

2. Demján Sándor Program – 1+1 KKV Investment Stimulus Grant According to the decision of the Ministry of National Economy and the Hungarian Development Agency (MGFÜ), OS Pelso Kft. will receive HUF 117.6 million in funding to enhance the quality of its Balatonlelle site. The grant will support the procurement of new equipment (e.g., drum screener, compost turner, telescopic loader, osmotic barrier), as well as infocommunication developments and consulting services. 

Through these two programs, our company further strengthens its role in the fields of sustainable agricultural technologies, biochar and compost production, and renewable energy utilization.

New! OS Pelso Kft. has started distributing biochar in Hungary

We are pleased to announce that OS Pelso Kft. has begun the distribution of plant-based biochar in Hungary. This sustainable and versatile material will soon be available from our own domestic production as well.

Main applications:

• As a feed supplement, especially in cattle farming. Biochar supports digestion, improves animal welfare, and reduces methane emissions.

• In composting: Adding biochar improves compost quality, stabilizes nutrient content, reduces odor, and enhances humus formation efficiency.

Proven benefits:

Several Hungarian and international studies have confirmed that properly applied biochar has a positive impact on soil health, animal nutrition, and environmental sustainability.

OS Pelso Kft. becomes official compost supplier to the Humus+ program

OS Pelso Kft. is proud to serve as the official compost supplier to Humus+ Hungary Kft. in its soil carbon sequestration initiative.

Through the Humus+ Hungary program, participating farmers can generate CO₂ certificates after verified long-term carbon sequestration in their soils, which are then offered to climate-conscious companies.

The high-quality compost provided by OS Pelso demonstrably contributes to increasing soil humus content, enhancing long-term carbon storage and supporting sustainable farming practices.
